New York, NY—The fire department has responded to a fire that destroyed a New York City tower.
The blaze broke out in the building at around 7:40pm on Sunday.
The New York Post reported that firefighters responded to the fire at around 5:45pm and that the cause was unknown.
The fire was contained and the fire department reported that the building was safe.
It’s unclear how many people were inside the building, but the fire chief said that a total of nine people were injured.
At the time of the incident, there were four people in the fire.
The fire department said that they had evacuated a nearby hotel.
